The Toronto and Niagara Power Company

Built in 1914 as the office for the Toronto & Niagara Power Company. The 1916 Sewerage Works Plan shows lots 20 and 27 as owned by the Toronto & Niagara Power Company and the 1924 GOAD Map shows 13 and 15 Burlington, the latter as the office for the Toronto & Niagara Power Company. The 1917,1918, and 1922 Telephone Directories list the Toronto Power Co., W. J. Harshaw, on Burlington Avenue. The 1919 Voters List includes W. J. Harshaw, Supt. T. P. C., lot 44, Burlington Avenue.

Summary of title search: 1904 from John H. Emory to William Tyndall Jennings; 1921 from his estate (sp. Tindall) to the Toronto and Niagara Power Company; 1972 from the Hydro Electric Power Commission of Ontario to the City of Burlington; 1981 to Lawrence James Kelley; 1989 to Georgina Winfield and in 1998 to Pierre and Julie Brunet.
